Over 45,000 People Sign Petition To Remove Kylie Jenner From Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion’s New Music Video, ‘WAP’

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s new single, “WAP,” is already causing a lot of controversies online following the release of it’s official video yesterday.

One of the first notable people who reacted to the video was House candidate for California’s 33rd district, James P. Bradley, who took to his Twitter page to slam the femcees.

The Republican candidate who claimed that he heard the song accidentally, blasted Cardi and Megan as ones who have no strong father figure.

“Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion are what happens when children are raised without God and without a strong father figure. Their new “song” The #WAP (which i heard accidentally) made me want to pour holy water in my ears and I feel sorry for future girls if this is their role model!”, he tweeted.

Contrary to Mr Bradley’s thoughts, fans who didn’t mind the content of the song were however disappointed to see Kylie Jenner in the music video.

One minute and 40 seconds into the video, the music stops to focus on a mysterious animal print-clad figure that is revealed to be Kylie Jenner.

The Kardashian girl is not the only high-profile cameos in the epic video for ‘WAP’ (with others including Normani), but it appears she’s the only one many are displeased with — appearing in the video.

To make their frustration widely known, a petition has been launched to remove Kylie from the clip.

The Change.org petition (FOUND HERE) was launched 7th of August, and has already amassed over 45,000 signatures from people who support the motion to get Kylie Jenner removed from the video.

A user named Nini started it, with the simple description:

“The video was perfect until we saw K[ylie] and I wanted to throw my phone”

Other users added comments such as:

“I was happily enjoying my daily cup of brown women until that culture stealing colonizer showed up and made me spill. Thank you”

“She is a culture vulture who doesn’t remember how her own complexion looks! down with the culture vultures!!!”

The music video itself has already garnered over 32 million views on YouTube. It will be interesting to see how this is handled.
